According to a filing today Elon Musk has bought a 9.2% stake in Twitter making him the biggest shareholder of the company, even larger than the company’s founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey.

This comes after I said it would be a great move for him to buy Twitter rather than starting another failed alternative, I also predicted him buying Twitter would be the ultimate outcome, and so far this is becoming true.

Outspoken Tesla CEO Elon Musk purchased a giant stake in Twitter that makes him the largest outside shareholder in the social media stock, not long after criticizing the company for what he said was its failure to uphold the tenets of free speech.

Musk owns 73,486,938 shares of Twitter, which represents a 9.2% passive stake in the company, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission 13G filing released Monday. The stake is worth $2.89 billion, based Twitter’s closing price Friday.

The purchase comes less than two weeks after Musk criticized the company, polling people on Twitter about whether it adheres to free speech principles. “Given that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square, failing to adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy,” Musk tweeted. “What should be done?”

Rumors are already spreading that this will not be the first major purchase of stake in Twitter that Elon Musk will buy.

This purchase will immediately have influence over Twitter, possibly giving him access to the CEO and other high level executives at Twitter which could result in TOS influence and other key movements in what happens with the platform.

The effects of this are already showing, Allegedly the person who is in charge of Terms of Service and Guidelines has resigned in response to Musk’s purchase.

This could be a big change to Twitter and the internet in general considering the amount of influence Twitter has over the entire internet, bringing big names like Trump, Nick Fuentes and others back to the platform could really change the entire scene. We will have to see how this plays out.

  1. We could be up for some welcome changes, but I think Twitter will remain a cringe platform for faggots regardless.
